The Toy Safety Directive- 88/378/EEC was first came into existence on 1 January 1990 and since then it is protecting consumer health. This directive includes areas that are a common source of danger such as Chemical properties, Physical & Mechanical Properties, Hygiene, Radioactivity and Flammability. The manufacturer ensure that the products must be certified as safe before entering into the European Market and must meet the requirements under directive.
